Top 5 spots around the Nürburgring Nordschleife

The Nürburgring is a racing circuit in the heart of Eifel, Germany. It is famous for it's big events, such as F1, DTM and Touristenfahrten. Perhaps the most famous route, is the Ring's Nordschleife. This 20 km or 12,5 mile long stretch weaves through the hills of Eifel, a beautiful scenery with lots of challenging corners that everyone can drive, no matter what car you take. We will cover the top 5 places around the Ring for you to visit.

1| Hocheichen Hatzenbach

When it comes to pure action and good visibility of the track, Hocheichen Hatzenbach is the best spot for you to go to. With its challenging corners, you really see the drivers struggle for grip, and they come pretty close to the barriers too. There is a spot to park if you take a right at the 43 sign besides the road. From there, you can walk routes to different corners and change up the viewing point to your liking.

2| Brünnchen "Youtube Corner"

Yep, you probably recognise this view. This is Brünnchen, the so called "Youtube Corner". It is the corner where various Youtubers (under which Auto Addiction) do most of their filming. The best part about Brünnchen, is the change in elevation, which is something that you don't see on camera. The cars take a left-right combination downwards which is a rollercoaster to experience in the car, and a spectacular view for outside visitors. It is very easy to park due to the size of the parking lot.

3|Adenauer Forst "Ghost corner"

If you like cars that go sideways or cars that crash and go off the track, then Adenauer Forst is the place to visit. The blind chicane is a hotspot for cars that do not brake in time and thus, go straight where the corner goes left. To get you in the mood, enjoy 10 minutes of fails and crashes:

Adenauer Forst has a small parking lot, but is quite hard to get to. You are better off parking the car somewhere near Adenauer Gordt and walk your way to the track. Here is the location:

4|Breitscheider Brücke

Fancy a "Currywurst mit Pommes, or just an ice cream?" We have got you covered. The best place to go to if your stomach is roaring, is actually right in the middle of the track at Breitscheid. There is even a way in halfway through the Nordschleife at Ex-Mühle, where you will enter a national speed limit. If you just want an ice cream, stop by at Eis Venezia. If you want a bigger meal, go for Bistro Cockpit.

5| Mini Karussell / Small Carousel

Number 5 and last on this list, is the small carousel, the second to last corner before the main straight during tourist drives. The cars taking this very aggressive corner is something spectacular to see. Luckily, with a small journey on foot, you can get really close to the corner and experience the raw sounds of all cars flying by and drifting at exit. On foot, you can go to the last corner (Galgenkopf) and see the cars fly by into the long straight.
